ASB Goes to Washington
ASB will be attending the JEA/NSPA convention in Washington D.C. November 6-9, and we hope to see many of you there. This is the second straight year ASB has participated in the fall convention for scholastic journalists.
On Thursday the 7th we will run a day-long boot camp for advanced broadcast students, then present three breakout sessions on Saturday, November 8.
Here are those session descriptions (all three take place in Washington 6, Exhibition Level)
9 a.m. Session: "Advanced video shooting and editing"

10 a.m. Session: "Advanced storytelling in broadcasting"
Description: A number of tried-and-true techniques used by professionals every day can help high school broadcast journalists create stories with stronger impact. This session will feature student-produced examples, and break down the methods used to gather and produce great journalism.
11 a.m. Session: "Documentaries: long-form broadcast journalism stories"
