Category: Finding a Story
Materials: Something to write with/on.
Assignment: Brainstorm some possible story ideas by responding to the items below.
1—Who has a job/profession/skill you have always been interested in, but know little about?
2—What school topic, or local/national issue are teens talking about, upset about, or curious about?
3—Is there somebody you know who has a skill, a collection, a hobby that might surprise others?
4—Where would you like to go “behind-the-scenes” to learn more?
5—Consider a family member who has a great story to tell. Would others appreciate hearing it? Sometimes, there are stories so close we can’t see them.
